I've heard stories about Takamine using glues that won't come apart, or non-reset-friendly neck joint designs, but I don't have any real information about either of those things. In the past I put it down to not spending enough time on it and therefore not being used to the 12 strings and wider fretboard etc, but I realise now that it needs a neck reset.
